The Drain or Leach Field consists of a network of perforated pipes (or “laterals) laid in gravel under the ground that allow the water to pass into the ground from the septic tank. In most systems this pipe consist of PVC or the newer chamber style field lines that have a higher surface area. Most septic systems work by gravity where the liquid wastewater from the house flows into the septic system (influent) and is discharged from the tank (effluent) to the absorption or leach field. The absorption field is where the final treatment takes place.
The basic septic tank is designed to retain the solids and scum and prevent them from entering the leach field. Most septic system provide a two to four day retention time. When the volume of the tank is reduced by the build up of solids and scum, the retention time is reduced allowing higher levels of the undigested sewage travel into the field. This increases the demand on the field to break down the undigested material causing a “biomat film” to form. This biomat is an, ugly, black, anaerobic, layer that prevents the liquid from “percolation” (dispersing into the soil or evaporating through the surface).
Routine use of REX-BAC-T® Septic and Leach Field Products prevent the build up of the scum layer and the accumulation of sludge in your septic tank and are formulated to provide effective reduction of the fats oils grease, proteins, carbohydrates and cellulose in the wastewater reducing the load on the drain. Our BioMat-X™ leach field cleaner is formulated to break up the biomat layer that has formed in the leach field lines.

Each biological solution starts with the basic understanding that the digestion process by all microbes require a food source for the waste digestion, bioaugmentation, or bioremediation process to thrive. Selection of the bacterium species targeted to flourish in the environmental conditions made available is the underlying key to a successful process. Our septic tank aid products are specifically formulated for septic tanks, cesspool, holding tanks and other similar waste treatment processes.
Bacterial field waste digestant products must contain three necessary components:
Our superior blend of these essential components works in harmony to digest and destroy organic waste QUICKLY and EFFICIENTLY with NO ODOR or NOXIOUS GAS.
